How Politics works-but not for you
As people began to organize and live in small social groups…it became necessary to have some rules…customs…traditions and rules of behaviour…so we can all get along with each other without conflict.
The result of organizing into large social groups…the need for rulers and the ruled emerge…How best to govern people and their relationship with their rulers…today we call this
government…or as I call it the tax extortion Mafia…what it has become.
The definition of the state is ‘the legitimate use of force’…please memorise this for the rest of your life…because you will be subject to it in your lifetime.
Today we see a manifestation of this with peaceful protestors in the US pepper sprayed, in Germany Pro-Palestinian peaceful demonstrators being badly beaten and arrested.
In the UK Terrorism legislation used to close down free speech and persecute pro-Palestine journalists such as Richard Medhurst and other peace activists.
This is the true nature of the democratic state…a fascist Mafia state where population control is more important than the rights of people…and extorting tax out of the public at all costs to fund vanity projects…wars and waste tax-payers money.
For Thomas Hobbes without a central authority society would collapse into violence and anarchy…in his work Leviathan…he recommends that people give up some of their rights for security and protection from the state…i.e. the Mafia State...the public contributions for the safety and security being paid in taxes…lots of taxes today.
What this means in practice today…people’s rights severely restricted…democracy means voting for parties whose policies you are not meant to understand…pay your taxes and ask no questions how the money is spent or wasted…that is the essence of Democracy today…electing a bunch of amateurs to run the country.
The process of government- starts early in history as individuals we lived in family groups…later into tribal groups…with the development of agriculture and settled communities…villages which later became towns then cities and then city states.
At each stage of development… a new form of government was needed to govern the expanding population. For Aristotle justice for the people top priority. For Rousseau all types of government are based on an unequal society…for him power should be in the hands of the people…he does not explain in practice how to bring this about…or what that means in practice.
